Gwyn Clarke Reed
Gwyn Clarke-Reed is a Democratic Representative from South Florida, and was facing a tough primary challenge in 2010. Impact Campaigns was engaged to develop an electioneering campaign for Gwyn to boost her Democratic credentials and convey her track record to this diverse voter group. In the end, Gwyn was successful and won reelection handily.

As a former teacher, Gwyn had significant education credentials, so we featured her support for local schools and school reform efforts in this Democratic primary. Protecting children and schools from the Republican-led legislature’s cuts was a primary theme.
Gwyn had also been a leader in state health care efforts, to expand access to affordable care, recruiting medical facilities to urban areas in her district, and making sure that nursing home regulations protected patients. With this education and health care message running through our entire mail campaign, Gwyn bested her primary opponent and is fighting again in the state legislature for her district.
